Fetal Development (Day 1):
When conception (fertilization) occurs, every detail – color of hair and eyes, gender, height, and skin tone have already been determined.
Week 7 (After Conception):
The baby’s heart has been beating for one month and fingers and toes are developed.
Week 14 (After Conception):
The baby is approximately 4 inches in length. The baby’s gender can be determined by ultrasound.
Week 20 (After Conception):
The baby is approximately 7.5 inches long. The baby can now feel pain, possibly as early as 18 weeks.
